My Approach
Therapy is a collaborative journey, and my approach is grounded in the belief that your story holds the key to transformation. Here, you’ll find a warm and understanding space where your voice matters and your goals guide our work. Let’s move toward a life that feels more connected, fulfilling, and aligned with who you truly are.
As a marriage and family therapist, I focus on understanding and improving the dynamics between individuals within their unique contexts. This systemic perspective considers the interconnectedness of relationships, life experiences, and cultural influences to facilitate meaningful and lasting change.
What sets me apart from other therapists is my use of a feedback-informed approach. This means I work intentionally with you to tailor your therapy experience to your specific needs. Together, we create a collaborative, personalized process where your input is always at the heart of our work. Research shows that clients whose therapists use a feedback-informed approach are 2.5 times more likely to experience positive therapeutic outcomes.
In our work together, I may use Internal Family Systems (IFS), a compassionate approach that helps you explore and understand the different 'parts' of yourself, such as the inner critic, protector, or wounded child. By building a deeper connection with these parts, IFS enables you to heal emotional wounds, foster self-compassion, and move toward greater balance and harmony within yourself.
I also offer Brainspotting, a focused therapy that helps access and process deeply rooted emotional pain or trauma. This approach uses the connection between your brain and body to identify and release stored emotional stress, offering relief, clarity, and profound healing.
My identity—as a Latinx woman, a mother of neurodivergent children, and someone with an ADHD brain—deeply informs my commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space for all clients. I believe everyone deserves to feel seen, supported, and empowered in their healing journey.
Outside of the therapy space, I am passionate about advocating for inclusive mental health support across government, community, and school settings. I firmly believe that everyone—regardless of race, gender, ability, or identity—deserves access to compassionate care that respects and honors their unique experiences. To further this commitment, I work closely with schools and community organizations to ensure that all individuals have access to the mental health support they need to thrive.
